Resolving Crits vs PTL

By kell553, in X-Wing Rules Questions

This came up in a game my daughter played in a recent Store Championship.

She was flying Soontir Fel with PTL. She took 2 Crits; Weapon Malfunction and Damaged Sensor Array.

Both have an "ACTION" of rolling a dice to try and flip the card facedown (eliminating the results of the Crit).

The question arose, can she roll to resolve 1 Crit then, pass or fail, use PTL as a second "ACTION" to try and resolve the other Crit?

In tis case her opponent took pity on the 10 year old girl and let her do so (she succeeded on the first roll and failed the second).

PtL limits you to actions listed on your action bar, so unfortunately you cannot use it to perform the second Crit action. You could use it perform an action on the action bar after attempting the Crit action, but you would need to resolve the Damaged Sensor Array first.

Or to put it another way, you'd need to flip the Damaged Sensor Array first. Push the Limit wouldn't be any use while Damaged Sensor Array is still faceup.

Makes sense. Thanks guys.

You could however use Experimental Interface (PtL, but for cards with Action: header), to attempt to resolve both crits, regardless of the success of your first attempt.

Nope!

No you couldn't. the requirement on EI is that the action come from upgrade cards. Still can't use it on damage cards.

Well I'll be damned!

That may be a little extreme. You misread a card, hardly worthy of eternal damnation. A simple flogging should suffice.
