This is not a Wave 7 speculation thread, but a honest to goodness what else can they make? I know there are still a few ships out there they haven't made that I can think of, but it seems as though Scum is a way to kind of slow things down on the Imp and Reb side so they don't run out too quickly. I ask anyone to enlighten me on ships we are missing.
What's next?
Off the top of my head for the Empire:
-half a dozen or so lesser-known TIE variants (most of which were created for games so they could have something unique and cool - the Hunter, the Interdictor, the Avenger, Oppressor, etc.). The TIE/fc and TIE/gt could be handled with TIE Fighter-only Modification cards.
-Skipray Blastboat (though it was more common with the lawless scum than the Empire)
-Sentinel-class lander (no real point, unless you want a more heavily armed and armored Lambda that can turn)
-XG-1 StarWing Assault Gunboat
-Scimitar Assault Bomber (designed by the elite Scimitar Bomber Wing - so elite, they fly Bombers with PS of...wait, two?)
-Preybird-class starfighter (originally designed for the open market, but adopted by the Empire in its later years)
-A-9 Vigilance Interceptor and I-7 Howlrunner (both of which could seem pretty similar to an Imperial-flavor Syck)
And the rebel scum:
-Defender starfighter (a tiny little agile New Republic fighter)
-K-Wing (this is the one I'm most interested in seeing - a large-based ship that would make sense to see commonly, but it's pretty late-New Republic era...plus, we don't need another Rebel turret ship. Could come with an Ordnance fix, though.)
The Empire has quite a few designs that could work, but the Rebellion is running low on ships that aren't re-used from the prequels. I blame that on the popularity of the X-Wing - why give your heroes a new ship when the one they've got is so famous?

Yeah, that would be interesting. The only issue might be 180o ordnance, but I don't think that'd be too problematic - after all, Nera Dantles isn't too scary. I was originally thinking that it could have a 0-red Primary and a Turret secondary slot, but I like your idea better.
Give it a Lambda-style dial, crew slot and tons of ordnance slots (possibly system, too), give the named pilots (Miranda Doni and ?) ordnance-related abilities, package it with an engine upgrade...

But only after all the Scum ships and all faction's Aces packs have been made...so in reality the next in line is probably another round of Aces for everyone, then the Scum epic ship, then another round of Aces with another Scum release....breathe...then, version 2.0.

Apparently not only is Wave 7 basically done, but Wave 8 is nearly finalized. So even though _I_ don't know what they can do next, _they_ seem to know.

Considering the size of those ball turrets (on one version of it at least), wouldn't it make more sense to give it a turret slot than a turret primary?
Edit: Suggestion more or less already made. Still hoping they do this, because then I actually have a reason to play Alliance (New Republic/late GCW era > GCW era).

with the fixes for the advanced coming, they probably wont announce anything new for it for quite some time.
i'd be interested in seeing the new x wings (though those wings will be fragile and possibly prone to breaking) and a tie ace pack coming with the new movies. sure, its more of the same, but it will promote diversity. people that have been playing for years wont need that 9th tie fighter, and people getting into the game will have a new flavor to choose from that doesnt take away from the existing choices

I have a personal list of 8 ships for each faction. So 8 more waves for the next few years would keep me occupied. And with FFG's near un-ending ability to mine the EU, I'm confident in their ability to keep things interesting.

Not to mention the possibility of something totally new, a la the Raider.
Nerfing turrets into dirt, then creating a bunch of new turret ships for rebels and scum makes no financial nor play sense.
I could see a bomber or 2 for different factions assuming there is a real munitions fix.
I know you're worried about Rebels and Imperials, but there are certain ships I NEED before this game can die:

I'd also really like to see Jabba's yacht. It seems like the best way to get Jabba in the game as he's conspicuously missing. No, we never see him actually fly a ship, but then, we see quite a few crew cards that aren't really pilots.
Once I get my bounty hunter ships, this game can die, if it wishes, but not a moment before that.
Yeah, I'm pretty confident we will get at least one more of the ESB Bounty Hunter ships next wave. They are the only reason I am interested in Scum.
The last ship that has any personal meaning to me is the Personal Luxury Yacht 3000. You may be thinking, a Luxury Yacht? Yeah, guess who had notable ones. Lando and Mara Jade. And Lando's was named the Lady Luck! How can you not have Lando flying a ship called the Lady Luck? They both modified them to be combat ships as well.
If you check out Wookieepedia, the stated scale is notably larger than the Millennium Falcon, but I think this might be another case where things are a bit off. Not only do there seem to be varying depictions of the ship, but when I quickly compared two side-view blueprints, they didn't seem to be that far off from each other (I'd try comparing them in Star Wars Galaxies, but that's no longer an option). As a side note, the Luxury Yacht was obtainable in Star Wars Galaxies, and the Lady Luck appeared in Jedi Outcast.
At first, I thought it could be a large Scum ship, seeing as Lando wasn't always a Rebel and Mara Jade spent some time as a smuggler, but it looks like both of them primarily flew the Luxury Yacht during the New Republic era, so maybe it would be better as a Rebel Ship. Now, the New Republic thing might seem like it's pushing the timeline too far, but it looks like Lando did have it during the Rebellion, and besides, the ship as a whole definitely existed then, I don't see the harm in stretching things for memorable pilots (and you can easily get a third pilot and title card from the previous owner and name of the Jade's Fire).
The Lady Luck, by the way, apparently has five blasters and an ion turret, and both the Lady Luck and the Jade's Fire have a remote beckon call that requires them to be capable of smart autopilots, which could have some interesting implementations. Also, the Jade's Fire apparently has a way of deflecting and firing back at attacking ships, which could be represented with a neat, free counterattack upgrade.
I'd expect the ship to be slow and tough, a bit like the Shuttle, but with some much more surprising retaliation capabilities. It would probably have some good support as well, maybe being able to clear stress on nearby ships by broadcasting soothing music to them. ;P

- More obscure ships from the Eu
- Ships from the clone wars
- A 4th faction (Ewoks and Gungans, or some Civilian faction seems to be the picks)
- 100pts games getting stale so some new scenarios or a narrative campaign guide.
- Model terrain pieces like asteroids, turbo laser towers, etc
- New critical damage deck
- "Fixes" for some old ships to make them more relevant in the current meta
- Making ordinance relevant
- Ground forces expansion
- Star wars Rebels ships
- Old republic ships
- Episode Seven ships
I'll end it there I think you gotta keep in mind with the new movies/books/video games/comics in the works were bound to see some new ships that people are going to go crazy for.
This is a relatively quick list of ships I could come up with either off the top of my head, or after about 10 minutes searching Wookiepedia (mostly for scum or to find the names of ships I already knew). This ignores things that will probably arrive, like bounty hunters, most prequel ships, any sequel ships, atmospheric rules so that we can get the snowspeeder, and uglies.
People can argue about the assignment of classes and factions, but the point is that the list is fairly long, even with my relatively cursory looking/remembering.
