Let's say you have a weapon that adds 3 positive dice to your pool in combat. When you go to make an attack do you also get the 1 positive die you get to start a die pool or just the 3 from the weapon?

1 dice for base attack, 3 for inherent accuracy of said weapon, plus possible bonus conditions and/or positive features.

So you have at least 4 positive dice. Maybe more.

What SoloKane said. You always have a starting dice pool of one positive die. Then the weapon will add more positive or negative dice depending on it's capabilities. Then you will add more positive or negative dice based on conditions, features, circumstances (I.E. being in darkness, the weather, etc.)

Always important to add situational bonus dice and from features as well, they may add up.
