New Dark Heresy Designer Diary: Radical Visions Part 2

By FFG Ross Watson, in Dark Heresy

Very pretty pictures.

Is that Inquisitor Kaede shooting one of his own? I guess Polypsykana counts as radicalism...

Looking good, can't wait for it to be released

Wow... the first 40k bodysuit pic that doesn't look like it came straight from a fetish fair...

How much pages is this book going to have? After TF, I got wary.

Amazon lists the book at having 256pgs

Thanks for the Info! This helps to silence my fears a little.

I love the pic of the assassin-girl., but the heels are killing me! LOL

Good stuff. So when is it coming out? The store I usually buy my DH books from have been notified that Radicals handbook AND part 2 in the Haarlock trilogy would be out in JUNE! But then again I know from past experience that FFG are known to provide overly optimistic release dates. Sooo, does anyone care to give me an estimation of when these books will be out? (I live in Europe and not the US by the way)

I believe that both books (Radicals Handbook and Haarlock Legacy 2) are both due out in the 3rd quarter of the year. Which is pretty much anywhere from July 1st to September 30th. I would expect one, if not both, to be released at GenCon.

Ascension and Haarlock Legacy 3 should be out in the 4th quarter, so no later than the end of December.

After that I would expect a lag in Dark Heresy production as FFG focuses on Rogue Trader, WFRP and the release of Deathwing (or is that Deathwatch, I never can recall).

But, all in all, 2009 will see 6 releases for Dark Heresy, which isnt bad at all.

Its Deathwatch.

I am hoping for Inquisitor level equivilant of Ascension. Hopefully we will see that next year in the follow up to Deathwatch.

I suspect we will also see a puritians handbook.

Hopefull after that we will see a book for each of the ordos.

Puritans handbook already exists, it's called Inquisitors Handbook (which explains why it has such a detailed chapter about religion and superstition and much in the way of "holy" equipment). Radicals handbook seem to be the same thing although with a more... well "radical" inclination instead.

I have to disagree. I think the Inquisitors hand book just represents the basics. A whole bunch of additional stuff for inquisitors opperating in the Calixis sector.

Religion is a major part of ALL inquisitors lives, they are after all amongst the most powerful members of a galexy spanning theocracy. No i believe their is a lot that could be covered in a Puritians handbook that has not already been covered. Sainthood, highly puritanical tech sects, relic weapons and the power of faith just of the top of my head.
