I can't be the only one who sees a parallel between the group of alliance heroes in Imperial Assault with the cast of Rebels. It seems like a brain-dead idea to make an expansion or set of mini expansions featuring the cast.

Kanan would be the melee Jedi hero.

Ezra would be a combo mele/ranged with some force abilities.

Sabine would be the dodge-centric ranged, but could also have demolitions.

Zeb would be a ranged/melee that could have some neat movement abilities. (he can cling to walls and such.)

Chopper could be a slicing/espionage expert.

Hera would be the ranged/inspiration/tactics team member.

I'd pay some serious money for this as a deluxe expansion, complete with a campaign that could be used either separately or with the rest of Imperial Assault. Thoughts? If you haven't seen Rebels yet, and are on the fence about it; Watch the pilot "movie" Spark of Rebellion. I can all but guarantee that you will get nerd chills during the "22 Pickup" scene.

It's quite likely we see Rebels since we have heard they are very likely coming to X-Wing.

Whole family watches Rebels in my house. Even the wife lies it. For what is it, it's pretty **** good. Like animation style better than Clone Wars, and Rebels actually gets more original "guest stars" reprising their voice roles.

Probably. But there's nothing wrong with that. There was a bunch of crap that went down in the early days of the rebellion, and I'm sure the heroes if Imperial Assault were involved in one way or another.

Rebels takes place 5 years before Star Wars: A New Hope, so my guess would be a new campaign setting with a time period of "2" (this allows them to go further back in time to touch the prequels if they choose), since Imperial Assault takes place after the Battle Of Yavin in time period "3".

Either way, another excuse to get more models!

Sabine would be such a great piece to play with. I'm pretty sure she has the highest body count on that show by far.

I have yet to see any of the animated series... but I may need to change that.

I do recommend it, it's fun. I've been impressed with the guest-starring voice actors... the most non-spoilerific ones are Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation), and James Hong (Blade Runner, Big Trouble in Little China), other than that, I'll leave it that four major speaking roles from the original trilogy have made themselves audible.

The villains would make fun pieces too! Inquisitor and Agent Kallus would fit right in to this game.

But really I just want a Chopper piece. He's ruthless.
