Y-Wing Mercs! Here Comes the Scum!

By ginocoolowski, in X-Wing

Hello there folks!
I'm working on my new Scum and Villainy ships for the upcoming Xwing miniatures game expansion.

I'm going to make up my own mercenary groups each to fulfill an in game position in my squadrons.

My first ships are a group of mercenaries I call the Red Bats and the Ywings I am creating represent their Blue Wing. Each craft is a heavily armored and modified custom Ywing. This is the first one The Lucky Lady. I started with some comcept art then went to work on the ship model. I'm still working on it. I'm really excited to finish and start painting! thoughts?

Two views of the ship so far! I'll have to take pics of the bottom too!

Looks really good so far. Am excited to see the final product.

Ok I finally had a chance to sit down and paint my first Y-wing!

"The Lucky Lady"
She might not be the youngest bird in the galaxy but the Red Bats mechanics have updated everything on her many times over the years of service.
She recently was adopted and renamed from "The Dutchess" by the Bat's newest Y-wing pilot "Kid Famous" a Twi-lek smuggler who after earning enough credits in her first tour of mercenary duty to purchase the ship outright. The armor over the ship's fuselage is in a constant state of repair, each new set of duraplate sections to fill gaps in the last.
