Quite easily when one prefers their ships not to be a Kindergartener's "moar awesomer!!!1!eleven" redesign. Also when we would like a ship with actual lore rather than tech tree filler from a mediocre video game.

I'm guessing a free TL at the end of movement or beginning of combat.

The problem is that they would want to buff bombers carrying ordnance, but not encourage people to run naked bombers. Just giving bombers a free target lock would allow the ship to use it on its primary weapon attack as well.

I favor more the approach that allows a TL used to fire ordnance to also be used to modify the dice roll on that ordnance. Something like

"When attacking, if a secondary weapon instructs you to discard a TL, you may reroll any of the attack dice on that attack"

There is also the issue that the goal here is to buff ORDNANCE, not just the TIE Bomber. the Bomber will be getting a buff because it is the most dedicated ordnance platform, but that is likely more of a knock on effect, not the primary goal.

It was my impression that there was something out there for ordnance and something out there for Bombers. Maybe I'm wrong, though. Still, it would be good to see ordnance get something for everyone, not just bombers.

Would people really run out and buy a Tie Bomber Swarm if they just got the ability of a free TL? Personally, I'd go for ordnance.

I would love a Skipray but its kind of a weird size. They would have to either throw it on a large base or shrink it down scale wise to fit on a small base. Fluff wise its actually longer than a Lambda but its pretty narrow. They could do something different and put it on two small bases stacked front to back, but I don't see them introducing new base sizes. It could easily be a Scum ship.

No they're not. The HWK's size is wrong on Wookieepedia. FFG got the official figure from Lucasfilm and it's apparently 16 meters.

I agree, not now. Ever since I started playing the game though I have thought that they should have designed the game with a medium sized base. 60mm, right in between the 2 bases we have. There are a bunch of ships, like the skipray, that fit in between the two.

Oh, I meant the miniatures themselves. I don't have the Aggressor in hand, but from what little I can tell, it's a wee little large, and the HWK is a rather oversized small. Not saying they're identical in size, just close!

It was in the "I know there are several fan favorites we have not made yet" conversation, so take that for whatever it is worth. As others have said, I do not think Alex gets to choose the ships. I brought it up because we were already talking WEG stuff, and I think the Skipray is one of the "obvious" ships that has not been done yet. It fits well as Empire and/or Scum and could give Palpatine's lackeys a ship with the turret upgrade slot.

I think they are going to develop a medium ship base.

If you take a look, We have "Small Ships", "Big Ships" and "Huge Ships".
