First what about Soontir? Auto-Thrusters isn't out yet. Is Stealth the better choice?

If Auto-Thruster was out then I was thinking Royal Guard Mod for Stealth and Auto-Thruster

Finally what do I fill in the rest of the points. I was thinking Carnor Jax but I couldn't take PTL and he'd die? Dark Curse sounded cool but that still leaves a lot of points on the table.

Thanks,

Personally with imperials, when I have extra points I shove in as many Tie Fighters as will fit. But I just love the basic Tie.

DFocke's suggestion seems sound to me. Two Academy Pilots is 24 points, which leaves you with 3 points left for auto thrusters and an initiative bid

Stealth is still a good choice for Soontir?

Would you add the ION cannon to the shuttle for a full 100 points?

Doomshuttle. It's one of my favorite squads. I've been flying it pretty much since the shuttle came out. I call it Diplomatic Envoy.

I would give Autothrusters to Soontir when it's out along with the Stealth Device, then I'd drop in a Royal Guard Tie with PtL. That uses your 27 points and is a solid squad.

Too many upgrades on Jendon imho, drop a few and get Turr in there perhaps?

Hey ken,

Just wondering why you would bother with the Royal Guard TIE title card.

It doesn't have an effect on anything here.

Why Jendon? You are not going to want to keep Soontir in range 1 of him to pass TL. You might as well use Yorr or an OGP. If you insist on Jendon, then throw a Gamma Squadron pilot in there running wingman loaded with missiles.

Yes. I actually meant adding a second shuttle at 24pts

Why Jendon?

For me, this is the right question with regard to this list. For 1 more point you can get Captain Kagi, who has better PS and helps protect you from action-stacking Rebels. For 5 fewer points, you can get an Omicron Group Pilot and spend 32 points on your escort rather than 27. But I can't see running Colonel Jendon at all.

No reason, just because the pilot was Royal Guard he should be flying a Royal Guard Interceptor.

I see your point on using Jendon and an Interceptor. But I chose the upgrades from the news article about the Buzzsaw shuttle. Actually I wanted the HLC.

If I change Jendon to Kagi (to soak up TL) and keep Kagi at range three. Then I could add Turr:

Captain Kagi (27)

Fire-Control System (2)

Gunner (5)

Engine Upgrade (4)

Soontir Fel (27)

Push the Limit (3)

Stealth Device (3)

Turr Phennir (25)

Push the Limit (3)

Better?

Would it have any chance in a tourney?

Better?

Yes.

Would it have any chance in a tourney?

As I'm sure you know, Large turrets make life awfully difficult for Interceptors (at least for the next week or ten days).

I had a Double Defender list but people said that wasn't great either :(

That is why I originally wanted an HLC on the Shuttle.

Question is, how many turns do you expect to have a shot against a YT, using a Shuttle? :)

Put VI on Turr and for now, a Targeting Computer instead of PtL. PS9 Turr is very deadly with his innate ability acting like a mini PtL

If you really want to mess with people, change Turr for Jax as TL's will have to go to Kagi and Jax will mess up focus and evade actions, thus severely limiting both attack and defense options on the enemy.

That is an interesting thought. I'd want to get close to any target with the Interceptors regardless of big or small ship.

Kagi hang back just a bit not too far (has to be in range) but behind the interceptors.

Are Shield upgrades still working better than stealth?

I hate loosing Gunner on the Shuttle though. Much more effective with him.

Depends on what you want the shuttle to do. In this instance, it's drawing of TL's and can do that from any position within R3 of the locking ship. In fact you want it out of the opponents fire arc so it completely wastes his lock. Gunner is far less important then. Also, with FCS you are higly likely to land all hits if you also has a focus again reducing gunners usefulness.

Having the shields on the Ints, who will be close in is also a benefit over gunner.

It could also be argued that it would be best to drop one shield upgrade to a hull upgrade and put Adv.Sensors on Kagi for major movement monkeyness.

The list I posted is about major action denial whilst the Int's and shuttle whittle of HP's from the enemy.
