So being that i am new to playing the game, could you explain to me which side the villains can be played on? Also, it seems that the imperial force powerful the rebels. Maybe it's because i have not played enough to figure out both strengths.

Are you talking about Imperial Assault maybe instead of X-Wing ?

Scum & Villany is it's own faction. So we have 3 destinct factions now (or soon any way).
