So a short introduction. This list might be a step away from the 2 lists that I still feel as one of the strongest. Wisper + 5ties, won the dutch nationals (or 3+howl got second at worlds) and the list I flew to second in the nationals and took multiple tournament wins, Doomshuttle + 6ties.
I have a hard time getting back into rebels as I keep looking at big ships. Big ship builds just die to these lists (or fly godlike Paul Heaver like) as they are swarm like but do not fly in formation.
My original rebel list also got me a lot of good results, AABBX. but just got outplayed by arc dodging ships as this list is like a mob with brass knuckles, it wants to get in close and do the nitty gritty work. The arc dodgers never get in close and boost around it.
Anyhow I thought about needing a weapon that could deal damage at range 3 as well and counter movement shenanigans.
So the list:
15 A-wing
15 A-wing
12 Z-95
29 B-wing, heavy laser cannon
29 B-wing, heavy laser cannon
The A's flank, block, buy time jousting with more expensive ships and can finish a game if needed.
The B's try and destroy key targets at range for as long as possible before they enter the close encounter.
The Z does the dirty work, it keeps with the B's and then shoots out to block ships from closing in with the B's too fast. (it will die most of the games)
Current 2 games have proven it works very well. But the question is: What are its main weaknesses and would it beat the current beasts of the tournament scene?
(and for now ignoring the S&V as they will create an entire new set of problems in the couple of coming months)
