Has the forum changed??

By Julia, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Is it me (having some troubles with firefox lately) or did the forum have a complete restyling?

The forum has changed. It started with some light cosmetic changes but eventually all icons were replaced and the very code became corrupted and evil. Long time users saw their threads moved to Carcosa and the mods started to fill all replies with strange gibberish.

I mean, the forum seems to have changed. So it does.

Amazing how when confronted with the new design the one thing that comes to most people's mind is that either the site or their web browser is broken.

Not a good new design FFG!

Indeed. I figured it was a failure to load at first. I can't say I like the new design - it's to bright, and the light grey on beige is hard to read.

All we can do is send them feedback and ask tehm to give us the option to siwtch back to a non-eyewatering layout.

Aye, I kinda liked the older, darker version a lot better :-/

My eyes! What have they done to the site?

LOL. Any idea on how to leave Feedback? There was a "feedback" button I'm not seeing anymore *puzzled*

(On the home page) There should be a "send feedback" button in the lower right corner of the screen.

It's might be a bit hard to see- like everything else here! gaaaah! :)

Feedback sent, thanks for the reminder on where the button was. Gosh, I usually watch the screen while typing, now I have to watch the keyboard :-(

I'm wearing sunglasses now! At night ! Indoors ! while looking at this site...

No site is suposed to make you feel like this...

Seriously who redesigned the site? Hastur? Was it Hastur? It was Hastur wasn't it?

Likewise, feedback sent as well.

Cheers!

It has worked! We now have a change theme button between the orange NSS button and the English(USA) thing.

Man it feels good to have the old layout back!

Which great old one changed my forum layout??

Hastur

Clearly it was Hastur.

Why FFG? Why did you hire the King in Yellow as your site designer? :D

Ooooh... it's so nice to have actually the gift of sight again :)

Amen!

Thanks, Tibs...that was unnerving...

The light colored scheme is too happy and bright for Lovecraftian games. It needs to be dark and ominous.. like that mythos card you know is coming even though you are fruitlessly hoping against hope that it doesn't.

What is this, forum iteration four? Five? Let's see if I can change my avatar back finally.

Wow, nope. Can't change it to anything at all. Does anybody even remember my original avatar? No not the other Dark Pharaoh—the one before that? Didn't think so.

I'm okay with the color scheme. It's easier to read. Nothing will top Forums 1 and 2, where the posts were much skinnier because they didn't suffer from icon bloat. That ship has sailed though.

Just wanted to say that even though I like the darker color scheme better, the lighter one is not that bad. I was just making fun. I was not trying to disrespect the hard work of the site admins.

Fool! You named him three times! I don't want to think about what the forum is going to look like now!

I CAN SEEEEEEEE.............

Yellow with yellow yellow signs on a background of yellow?

In fairness, Firefox (Julia's browser, apparently) does update itself a lot, frequently introducing new and random page-breaking bugs in the process. So, I can understand thinking in that direction. I mean, in the last 3 years or so, they've gone from version 3.6 to version 35.0.1 (assuming I'm up to date, that is.)

Chrome isn't much better in this regard, either.
