I've actually run Kavil up to 36 and it works. Gotta practice a lot with ABT, though, the r1 bubble is tricky even with Unhinged 'mech.

I do notice that, while he isn't calling it as such, he does specifically call out the Rock/Paper/Scissors nature of the current meta, the 3 "pillars" as he calls them.

Asteroids. Seem pretty effective against swarms in ESB.
