It is the future you see, new article
difficult to see the future was, I thought
This would be a very good primer for new players trying to wrap their heads around ship roles
Edited by ficklegreendiceNothing really new to us here, but a well written article giving out some standard lists you can expect to see with some mild variations.
Did... did Paul Heaver just suggest Elusiveness?????

I could see more merit of putting Elusiveness on Laetin A'shera. Too bad he isn't an Elite Pilot.

I had two spare points, and wanted a defensive EPT to discourage firing at Serissu. It's not the best upgrade, for sure, but it fit the points available. Push would be better, but then you lose Stealth Device or one of your Hot Shots.

The man himself responded? Woot!
Could I get your thoughts on Feedback Array Z Swarms? I don't know if play Swarms a bunch or not (you're known for Hans), but what's your thoughts on that variant?
Thanks for the article Paul. I can tell a lot of good thought and experimentation went into it. They're all great lists. One of the cool interactions I drew from it is the K4 Security Droid crew and PTL. My understanding is K4 can trigger PTL, all before the stress clearing phase. So if you do a green move, the stress is gone immediately (similar to Dauntless and PTL/EI). Is that correct?
It would seem so yes, same as the Dauntless title, or Nightbeast ability.
The text on K4 is that you acquire a target lock, not take a target lock action, so push the limit's trigger of performing an action would not be triggered.
As for Feedback Array, I personally prefer Hot Shot Turrets for the extra range, but I can see using FBAs against Soontir, Whisper, etc. It's tough though: the targets you want to use them on - high agility low health ships - are the best at staying out of range 1 of your ships. If I want a range 1 dead zone vs high agi low health ships, autoblaster turrets on Y's (especially Kavil) might be more useful.
Nice article Paul. Kavil with auto blaster turret is really good. Paul carved up many of my ties like a lightsaber through butter.
Seems like a really nice build for Kavil, but its also pretty expensive for a Y-wing. I'd like to pair him with someone running bodyguard to make him a bit more difficult to bring down.

Shoot, you're right. I need to squint a bit better next time. That would have been a cool interaction.

Yes Chad! And you do have stitches in your vent!
