I'll give you guys credit for a nice clean layout, but on the forums, all that white is blinding, and the old theme is missing some images.

And yes, I was not a big fan of the Dark on White. If it had been a softer shade of white - off white or perhaps a light gray - it wouldnt have been so bad. But that? Ouch!

At least we have the option of using the older theme. Thanks for that!

How does one change themes?

All I see there is "English (USA) modified" link. It lets me switch to English (USA), which looks the same.

My only issue is the lack of contrast in type. Mid-light grey on a light grey/white background is not easy on the eyes.

Same here, no option to to switch to something not blinding.

It seems that the button to switch themes has gone. It was in the lower left of the screen, a little pulldown option that is no longer there.

Please change it back, or at least give us the option.

Weird. I got mine changed back by doing exactly what I described -- above...

Another vote to bring back the *option* please. It's not about hating change, it's about having intact retinas.

On an iPad the "mobile version" has the old (far superior) colour scheme, but the formatting of the posts is messed up and hard to follow, especially with multiple quotes. The way the forum was before was absolutely fine and easy to use, without being blinding.

I'd also put my vote in for way too bright. Light grey on light grey is also very hard for me to read, making all the topics and links difficult without leaning in to the bright screen even closer.

Also doesn't work as nicely with the Avatars, who mostly have dark backgrounds.

Yes, option back, please. I will say I do like the new layout of the news articles though.

Yeah the main site actually looks FrontPage bad now. Tried going to the X-Wing showcase and got a full page background and Times New Roman headers... I'm all for clean and subtle but that's a PowerPoint Presentation

I like the new theme - much cleaner than the old one. Especially the news page looks great.

I'm very happy that the preferences work on the forum pages, but I would also very much like it if the preferences worked on the main page. The new layout is hard to look at.

I'll also throw in a vote to return to the old theme on the main website, or at least give us the option. When the website loaded, I thought CSS was broken or something

Another suggestion might be to allow us to choose a background in our profile preferences, maybe get some splash screens of the various FFG games? I wouldn't mind having some of the Star Wars or LOTR imagery as the backdrop to the site

I'll throw in a vote that the new theme hurt my eyes. If changing the theme back wasn't an option then I'd probably stop coming to this website.

As for the intent of the new theme, I would like to have an option of a white theme. At least one that doesn't hurt my eyes. All the dark colors on the old theme make it painfully obvious to onlookers that you're looking at something personal when at work. I feel that a white theme would be a tad more stealthy and stop the "what'cha lookin' at?" questions.

New theme is visually impaired/accessibility unfriendly - no i'm not but i work in a customer focused environment and for me and my line of work the new theme on the website and forum would be a no-go.

The new site is inferior to the old one...and visually unappealing. From my experience FFG is very good at listening to its customers...we'll see if they respond on this one.

Well... they did give us a change theme button (forum only) within hours after the new design went live.
