Interesting look. The white is indeed quite bright, but easier on the eyes for mobile browsing.
I must be thick, can anyone exactly point to the theme change button at the bottom of the screen, all i can see is the sharing buttons at the bottom, and then the extra ones (youtube, twitter, rss) underneath.
Interesting - the button is missing. It should have been in the lower left of the screen, but I dont see it now.

Ow! This is painful. I have a 24" monitor on here and I'm reading in the evening. I can't look at this much more. There's no theme button at the bottom of the page for me me. I looked at the screenshot someone else posted but the language option (USA / USA (modified) does nothing for the colours.

I have swapped it to my other monitor which is also 24" but has a "Paper" mode. That makes it bearable, but really - Argh!

Nope, same errata. All of their support documents share the same 16 Dec 2014 date which means that is probably when they started working on the new layout and created the new database entries for all of the support documents.

When I found it after TalismanIsland pointed it out, it was in a light gray font and says schemes or some such. It hurt to look for. But it isn't in the original scheme after I switched back to it.

You should send FFG your feedback on the site so they'll fix it.

So it seems its THIS WAY or the HIGHWAY... forced change.... which is stupid, give people a choice, why is that so hard? It seems its simply enough, as it was there for some, and now not.... Do it OUR way is the final word. Which sucks.
With any software upgrade, there are always kinks and things that aren't working quite right. This is probably one of them - give it some time, let them work the bugs out of the migration and THEN let them know it stinks
Go to the bottom of the page and 'Change Theme' if you don't like it...
I actually don't. No such link when I scroll to the bottom, and Ctrl+F says no such word as "theme" if I search for it.
Same here. I also much preferred the old version and want to change back, but there's no themes link at the bottom left - just the RSS subscribe, then the English (usa) (modified) and English (usa) [tried switching between both, still the glaring white]
I want to change it back because I have serious issues with reading black words on white background on a screen, to the extent where at work I either inverse it (to be white writing on black background), or use a transparent coloured filter to basically make the screen darker.
