Why is has FFG not released another run of expansions? I have just recently started to play with my son, and can not find anything unless it's on Ebay. I would think that to continue to be successful with this game, there are some core expansions that need to be available.
Why
They are not available because it's hard to keep them on the shelves, they are selling out almost as fast as they can make them. The US situation is going to be a bit more dire for a while as the containers are tied up on ships waiting to be unloaded on the West Coast while the ports are closed.
FFG does reprint expansions all the time, but it is proving extremely difficult to keep up with demand for one of the most popular games around.
But look around some more, there are plenty of webshops with stock for instance, depending on where you are located in the world.
Keep an eye out for people selling off their collections. It happens but isn't indicative of the health of the game.

the recently released article about the shipping delays says that they have many of the old expansions getting shipped but they are being delayed due to the labor dispute. in other words they will come, it just might take some time
It seems the labour dispute over there has fouled up lots of folks, not just FFG. How long has it been going?
look under x-wing ; they have a alot of restock of the earlier waves...
Thanks Meekor.
There's reprints for everything on the way.

Since last Fall. It fouled up stuff for Christmas too. It's been causing issues with lots of companies and products.
check your local Barnes & noble...
Good news. The X-Wing reprints have made it through the Union Blockade on the West Coast....got my third TIE Advanced yesterday. And, according to a friend who works at the warehouse for my FLGS, the Scum and Villainy ships have as well and are just waiting for the official FFG release date....02-26-15 I've heard.

You can see that on the Upcoming Page, no doubt some will start seeing it very soon as some stores inevitably get theirs earlier than others.

This and also their site i am in England but it was still cheaper to order a falcon plus iinternational shipping than to get one off ebay, all told it cost me £25 which isn't that far off the RRP.
A more detailed article on the going's on at the docks.

Why not look much closer to home, like France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Norway? All have webshops with stock available.

They may do now but I ordered a while back it just took time to make it across the pond.
Even through the wait for reprints I've found lots of deals. I never pay MSRP. I look for $10 small xpacs, $15- $20 large ships and I found a $45 Tantiv and $30 transport but passed on them as my friend has them. If you are not in a hurry you can keep looking around. The worst prices by far that I've found are on Ebay.
The sites I like are (as previously mentioned).
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ - the prices just raised on everything this last week. But in-store prices are often cheaper.
http://www.coolstuffinc.com/ - $10 xpacs, free shipping over $100.
http://www.miniaturemarket.com/ - similar to CSI
http://www.rollforcrit.com/ - " "
I have even found the rare straggler original print of some.
