HNN: The Most Loyal Name in News

By Mikael Hasselstein, in X-Wing

For those of you who enjoyed the reports from HoloNet News (HNN) you can now find new reports from the Most Loyal Name in News in their own location:

HNN: The HoloNet News Network

The older reports began as a fun fleshing out of my own battles as postings for the the Unofficial X-Wing Galactic Campaign (UXGC), As the UXGC will soon be starting a new season - in in which Scum & Villainy will be properly represented - I'm starting to have more fun with it, and just seeing where it will go.

Those threads, incidentally, were here:

[shameless bump]

The blog continues with new reports. Correspondents are welcome.

Highly enjoyable, but as a rebel sympathizer I'm not sure I can keep reading...

:o

"Copy, sir, recorrection program complete."

Troopers, dispose of that man.

Pretty cool. Long time ago Sci-Fi channel had little shorts every day called "FTL newsfeed" that were essentially 30 second adds for the nightly news from the future. This reminds me of that.

Yes, as a rebel player myself, it was difficult to write a report from the perspective of an imperial dog.

Hm, that is a scurrilous autocorrect you have there.

I really hope that I can send you to the re-education camp on Monday.

It's been a lot of fun to write. Also, there's been quite a lot to write about these last couple of days. From the back end, Blogger is telling me that I'm getting quite a lot of hits coming from this forum, but also from BGG, Facebook and a couple from AFewManeuvers. Now, maybe some of those are bots and webcrawlers, I don't know.

Still, as a blog that was meant to be aimed at my own local community, it's interesting to see where all the hits are coming from - quite a few Aussies, Kiwis and Gerries, and of course Brits and Canucks.

Love your blog! Great stuff

A new struggle emerges in the Arkanis Sector. Read all about it on HNN:

The Empire Determined to Return Order to the Arkanis Sector

Out-of-character: This is in order to set up the upcoming season of the Unofficial X-Wing Galactic Campaign (UXGC), which is confirmed to take place in the Arkanis Sector. Check it out if you want to participate. As always, HNN is looking for dedicated correspondents to contribute.

Love your blog! Great stuff

Thanks!

is the reason you dont mention pilots by name because you don't want to have to deal with finding ways to have them fight again after their ships are destroyed in a battle?

Pretty much.

and here's the broadcast arm of the HNN. ;)

Yup, that's the one where I stole borrowed the logo from. :)

Nice work. Lovely looking site!

Fun stuff!

Great work, Mikael!

And here another shameless bump:

I was vacationing in Europe this past month, and my HNN blogging was therefore on a bit of a hiatus. I have, however, recommenced, and stories will be forthcoming as I get games of X-Wing and Armada in.

Anyway, my latest two X-Wing stories are the result of me milking the fact that my opponent did not have a proper scum base plate for one of his Syndicate Thugs.
