On Sunday, February 22nd, I am TOing my first Store Championship.

Being somewhat of the guy that “runs” our local X-Wing group, organizing the game night kit leagues, and trying to recruit as many new players as possible, I’ve now gotten to the point where the stores we play in want my help to run their events.

In the last two months our group has grown alot and we have more than doubled our “regular players” in both stores. This together with our closeness to Copenhagen, Denmark (in which there are alot of X-Wing players), and the easy acces with train to Malmö (where the Store Championship is going to be held) for alt of other Swedes, we currently have 28 registered atendees for this Sunday. That is more than what last year’s Regional drew.

So, not being satisfied with what we’ve acheived so far, we’re also planning to get the games (at least the elimination round ones) filmed and made into video battle reports. In preparation for this I did a test run during our final game night before the Championship.

So, after recieving some feedback we will defenetly do the following when we record the tournament games:

1. Use a different mat (I wanted to test these to see how they turned out, obviously we need matt mats for the recorded games).

2. The squad builds need to be visible during the game. I am working on having them on the sides (to the left and right) like most other video battle reports do it.
