We all knew. it's just official now. I'm still having fun with campaign in core set. They get here when they get here. This gives me time to save more and see if I can afford every single expansion on release.

Unions suck

Unions don't suck when they act in good faith. If you're going to strike, then strike. Strike for as long as you have the stomach (and strike fund) for. But don't take a paycheck while slowing work down to a fraction of its usual speed.

I'm not pro-management, but I can't be pro-union in this longshoreman case, and not just because of my gaming stuff being delayed.

By some industry estimates this strike is costing US businesses well over a Billion dollars a day .

That amount is staggering.

Perhaps its time to send a Dark Lord who can find new ways to motivate them.

What about those of us not in the US, surely our expansions aren't being routed by the west coast of the US, why should we suffer for strikes there?

FFG seem to have a very odd distribution process where some of their items are shipped directly (to Europe say), and others come via the States first and then are shipped out. This results in the oddity where some items are released weeks earlier in Europe than the states, and then some others Europe have to wait weeks after it has been announced as being released (and then yet others come out at roughly the same time.

For example, I think the Wave 4 re-stocks have come to Europe, as a local shop has finally been able to get some, while that announcement lists them as still delayed.

This whole post is very confusing since Fly Casual is listed on the page, yet it's already arrived at CSI and is shipping. So what does anything on that page really mean other than FFG is tired of people complaining at them.

Maybe if the company they work for wasn't a cheap ass and trying to get blood out of the stone and gave their workers better working conditions and pensions the staff at the place would resume their work.

You are aware that many of those people make 6 figure salaries and have free healthcare right? When I found out about that when this all started I was like "wow, is there an opening?".

You are also aware that in many foreign countries a vast majority of their work is now automated. Gee, if it costs more to pay all these people than it would to just replace them with robots, I wonder how long it will take the US to do that.... Honestly I'm surprised we didn't do it already

I'm not necessarily saying I all pro-management anti-union but the idea that these people have it so hard is difficult for me to believe. There are many people in the US who would kill for their job.

True story: Every company is cheap-ass. You know why? Because why pay money when you don't have to? Every company I have worked for (now 4) requires a lengthy process any time you want to spend more than $50 on something you need for work.

Obama sent the US Secretary of Labor. I seriously doubt he has Darth Vader's...charisma....but hopefully it will help.

unions are archaic now. they hurt more than they help. unions are losing their PR fight, the unions are costing amerika, und the unions are hurting individuals. my uncle is a farmer...crops are rotting away....

I would say..."keep your stick on the ice...as we are all in this together" but the unions are not one of us...

Meanwhile, teachers are getting paid less (per hour), than an In-and-Out employee. This is also considering the fact that their unions are constantly fighting to get a cost of living raise after 10 years of stagnant wages. ...Because we all know, teachers are lazy slugs.

My real point is that these anti-union comments are hyperbole and do not reflect the complexity of every labor/management argument.

Finally, I have not seen any evidence that these dock workers are 6 figure workers. Does anyone have evidence to back this implied claim that dock workers are over-paid?
