FFG lists the Armada core and dice as delayed new products (both "on the boat) but makes no mention of the Wave 1 ships (listed as "at the printers")
Core and Wave 1 being released separately?
Same thing happened with the release of x-wing. Wave 1 got released a month after the core set.
sooo, our armada is stuck on a cargo ship waiting in port HOW wonderful of news.
The plus side is that it's shipped. So it'll still be here soonish.
I'm going to be highly passed if this is true. I wonder if I can rearrange my preorders around or not.
Depending on what you're preordering, would it help? FFG products aren't the only ones stuck on a boat right now...
Probably means how his Armada orders are put together. For instance, I pre-ordered my core set separately from my expansions. I just figured it would be safer that way. With the core confirmed to be delayed and the expansions on "who knows" status, if they're on different orders you'll still get them as they come out rather than a longer wait if one is released before the other.
I also ordered the core set separately from the expansions so the core at least will come in once it gets unloaded from the boat. I'm guessing the expansions wont come until April or May at this point.
I'm not entirely sure I expect my core until the second half of April at this point. Every week before mid-April will be a very pleasant surprise.
So with the west coast port issues all but solved, I still see March as a very reasonable window for the core set to arrive. As far as the wave 1 ships go, I'm really not sure. If you look at the upcoming page the Imperial Raider has been moved back to Q2, but wave 1 is still slated for Q1. I'm doubtful that means the exact same time as the core, but I think we should have everything by the end of April at least, with the core showing up sometime within the next month.
I hope your correct but I think the ports still have a few weeks of backlog to work through first. Regardless it coming sooner rather than later.
