Star ship Interior

By SynysterDreamer, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I come across a lot of interiors of like normal used ships, but I'd like to make some others. Does anyone know of how to or know software that can do that. Any help would be great, thanks ladies and gents.

Most people do it with photoshop.

You could also use other mapping software such as Campaign Cartographer.

AutoRealms is a simplified CAD like Campaign Cartographer. Less powerful, but oh so much easier to use, and free. I have both and rarely use CC.

Photoshop is a painting program. Campaign Cartographer and AutoRealm are CADs (computer assisted drawing). They are on completely different ends of the spectrum. Photoshop's end result will look much better. The CADs will tend to be easier and cheaper, but will also have a more simple look about it. A painting versus a diagram.

Thanks for all the input, I'll look at the few programs and see what I can do.

I have a few that I've done, but I use Keynote (Mac version of powerpoint) and GIMP...lower tech, and totally not the way to do it.

I love GIMP. It is my graphic program of choice. It is so nice to hear it get some love.

Back in the day I used to use MS Paint. That was one of the preferred programs for the style used on one of those deck planning sites. I would take one of their ship designs and modify it to meet my needs.

Turn things up to 11 and make 3d terrain.
