I have the tournament rules but I believe the store championship kit comes with another sheet advising of special rules for the SC. I am specifically looking for the details about the required number of rounds and the cut.

BTW, the picture is the old version (which has 1 more round for all the number of players). The one posted by Killerardvark is the new one FFG sent out to store owners (4 rounds for 17-32 players with cut to top 8).

That's what I'm saying. FFG sent out a PDF with revised round rules in January and trimmed all swiss rounds by 1. If I can ever figure out how to post a file or a picture on this forum, I would do so.

Exactly. They sent this to the store I ran the SC for. Thankfully we had 9 enough to do 3 swiss rounds and a cut to top 4.

I am thinking our store will be running the more rounds way, but I personally would prefer your way. Which is correct?

I agree, this is a significant change. I hope all the stores see it in time.

My local store championship has twelve players expected and will be 4 rounds cut to top 4. Is this technically an 'illegal' tournament then? I'll be keeping my mouth shut about the matter if I get a regional bye out of it

last one I went to had 20 players 5 rounds swiss cut top 8,4,2

I was at a 30 person Store Championship, and the TO polled the group (before round 1 started) to see if we wanted to play 5 rounds or 4 rounds of swiss before the Top 8 cut. No one voted for 5 rounds...

Hm... I just TO'd a 14 person tournament and did 4 rounds of Swiss followed by a Top 4.

no, it's 4 rounds. I mentioned this already in a previous post. Check the PDF out yourself. This was sent out to all store championship hosting stores in mid January.
