Want to try and get more mileage from a cool ship. Here's my idea:

Delta squadron. Heavy laser cannon

Delta squadron. Mangler cannon

Captain Jonus. Squad leader, munitions failsafe, flechette torpedoes x2

18 hitpoints, strip shields with rerolling hlc, torpedo to stress, then mangler to finish them off? After torps are spent, Jonus still does a great job buffing the cannons and they should be pretty good at keeping together. Any glaring mistakes or faults in not seeing?

A list with fast-moving ships can get behind that list pretty easily. The bomber and defenders are not that easy to bring to bear if some A-Wings or Interceptors get in your back field.

If you come across that, take care with deployment and your opening moves, or it could end badly.

Against 2-ship builds and the like, you can carry on as you described.
