Easy Three (B+B+Falcon)

By matys2, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi Guys,

I'm fairly new to this game and 100% new on this forum. I'm a 23 year old guy from Holland enthousiastic about picking this game up and having a good time taking part in some tournaments. I've read some stuff on this forum and the internet regarding different squadlists and i've seen the overview in the sticky. However, i'd like to gain some advice on the following, super simple, list:

Keyan Farlander (B-Wing)

When attacking, you may remove 1 stress token to change all of your focus results to hit results.

Ibtisam (B-Wing)

When attacking or defending, if you have at least one stress token, you may reroll 1 of your dice.

Chewbacca + Millenium Falcon Title

When you are dealt a faceup damage card, immediately flip it facedown (without resolving its ability).

Your action bar gains the evade action icon.

No strategy in mind. But I thought the tankyness and rerolls on the b-wings with an evasive non-crit Falcon would work nice for a beginning player (no 100 billion upgrades i can forget and because of the tankyness some chance to not lose your crucial ship in the first round).

Let me know what you think!

Regards,

Matys

try chewie + Title card+recon specialist + jan ors + push the limits. this cocktail gives you 1 focus 2 evade 1 stress . makes your tank live a little longer. then your two b's can be blue squadron with fire control systems on them for auto target locks .

you're not going to be getting much use out of either character B-wing without upgrades (advanced sensors at the very least), which you can't afford with that 99 point base. Without them, they're basically just more expensive generics with higher pilot-skill, just not high enough to affect the PS 9/10s that are all the rage now

You'd be much better off with two generic B-wings (imo, ion cannons and a lot of dimension to them) and giving chewie some upgrades

I like this

you could also consider swapping FCS for flechette cannons

If chewie hasn't got a lot of options to remove stress then the next best thing would be to pile stress on your opponent

one match I played I beat a decimator firespray build the decimator had rebel captive on it . by the end of the game I had 5 stress tokens on the falcon I didn't care though the dial is that good

Is Jan considered to be at Range 1-3 of herself?

yes

and the ship using her can focus --> evade

Chewy 42

engine upgrade 46

predator 49

c3po 52

2x blue squadron, 2x FCS ( or whatever else you want for the remaining 4 points)

I feel like named b wings are a waste. None of their pilot abilities are worth the extra points like the X wing ones are. Plus, extra PS doesn't matter when you have 8 health.

istim is nice so is key farlander but in the build above no room points wise. in my match ps 2 hurt me due to the double falcon both running predator so rerolls galore.

Dagger squadrons then.
