Well, Wave 5 and 6 didn't give us much hints as to background ships, well if you believe the conspiracy.

Only card in wave 5 with wave 6 ships was Intimidation.

There is a Defender is Feedback array, so I'm foreseeing a Imperial Aces II with Bombers and Defenders.

Well, we are getting the Raider with TIE Advanced after Wave 6. That's an in-between release.

I'm surprised we haven't seen a "Will wave 7 introduce a new faction?" post yet.

Keeping to form, they should announce Wave 7 within 2 weeks of wave 6 hitting the shelves.

FFG has been pretty consistent on announcing the next wave just after the prior one is released. The one exception has been when they announced wave 6 at Gencon, which I understand as far as timing since its a little bigger than just a wave.

FFG spoil early because that's when they send the thingamagig out to distributors: we're going to hear it once it's out there. FFG just rathers we hear it from them than via a picture of a merchant catalogue posted on Facebook.
