Scum and Villainy is shipping now!

By TasteTheRainbow, in X-Wing

It's legal as soon as it's available in stores.

Does that mean it will shortly be legal to be illegal?

Ok so now how long til MM sends emails out?

Epic with 4 IG-2000's..... I. Can't. WAIT!

not illegal, simply a little bit illicit :)

My guess would be Wednesday or Thursday with some people getting theirs by the end of the week.

The store championships that I'm attending will be taking place on the 28th/1st. I cannot wait to see Scum across the table for me. My only regret is that my budget won't allow me to field a proper Scum team before then.

A friend attending Toy Fair in NYC this weekend said the FFG rep confirmed they were shipping this week. Of course, you're likely boned if your in the northern or northeastern US....

So we're getting Wave 6 at the end of February? You don't say! It is just as I have foreseen...

Speaking as a retailer, my distribution channels are still rather murky. Our local distributor is showing that the release date as "January" with no date attached, but that pre-order cutoffs aren't until January 28th. Typically with this distributor, pre-orders are cut at least two weeks before the product actually arrives.

My other distributor isn't even going that far with the order dates. I imagine we'll have a better idea of when Wave 6 will be released by the end of January, but I'm doubtful that it will release by the end of January.

I think your report makes more sense. Wave 6 got on the boat in mid-December, which puts it on pace to arrive in stores mid-February or late February. Anything earlier than, say, Feb. 13 would be surprising.

Just like I predicted ... we're getting Wave 6 at the end of February. Although they went on the boat earlier than I expected, so maybe we'll get it closer to mid-February.

It'll be out late February, probably.

Two months late. Always.

And some people think the FFG Rule is crazy. It's always true.

Per the Tournament FAQ..... ( as long as it doesn't get updated) it says that you field either a Rebel OR an Imperial group. While cards like Auto thrusters would be legal, if the FAQ is not updated then the ships Are Not legal. There is precedent for this as the FAQ said that Wave 5 stuff was Not legal for 2014 specific events.

Sweet to burst your bubbles.

we live in WV, my 7 year old son put a sign on the door that says "AT-AT alert" been there for a few weeks, keeps being relevant.

I am pretty sure that I read somewhere that all releases are tourney legal upon release unless otherwise noted.

I was feeling pretty crappy today...this has lifted my spirits!!!!!!

It's in the tournament rules but the tournament rules also are as emmjay quoted so a contradiction really. It's tournament lega once released in the US for US tournaments but also says you must field Rebel or Imperial fleet.

So happy to be in sunny Seattle right now. It's been in the 50s all week. This is practically T-shirt weather!

my second hawk should be here today or tomorrow, that way I have a ship for every dial I will be getting from my pre-order.

the scum hawks look like they will breath life into that model and we will be seeing them more on the table. possibly even the y-wings.

50's!!!!!!

I woke this morning and it was -22 at my house (western NY near Buffalo)

car almost didn't start

I'm sure tournament rules will update soon as well. They need to address wave 5 stuff as well.

Wave 5 wasn't legal at GenCon or Worlds because Wave 5 wasn't in wide release yet; only GenCon attendees were able to buy those ships and upgrades, subject to purchasing quotas, so it wasn't fair to people who didn't have the opportunity to pick them up.

Wave 6/Scum & Villainy is an entirely different proposition, and unless a new set of tournament rules is released that lists Wave 6 products as illegal for tournament play until further notice, Wave 6 will be legal for Store Championships.

So that earlier post saying that the ships' release date will be 2/24 turns out to be mostly correct after all. Cool...

Even if the clause about having to play either Imps or Rebels would make playing scum "technically" illegal in a tournament, I doubt anyone would even notice once the ships are out.

Celcius is a much newer way of viewing temperature than Fareinheit. Most of the world went with Celcius but we didn't get on the bandwagon. Apparently it is too difficult math for the rest of the world.
