IA: Skirmish in New Jersey?

By thereisnotry, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

Hey guys, I live in northern NJ (5 minutes north of Paterson), and I'm looking for a local gaming store or play group that plays (or will soon play, when OP starts) the skirmish mode of Imperial Assault. I'm posting this in the Skirmish forums because I'm not really looking for a Campaign group (already have 2 campaigns in the works), but instead specifically a Skirmish group.

Are any of you Skirmish players living or playing in NJ? Do you know anyone who is? If so, please PM me.

Thanks, and may the Force be with your dice!

There isnt a game store in NY? or on the border like a Chicagoland games, Pastimes, etc of that size?

I would think that would be your best bet.

the only two people I know that live in NJ that play IA live on the other side of NJ by Philly.

There are a few games stores in the area, but I haven't been able to find one that plays any regular IA Skirmish yet. I went to one place hoping to find some IA players and it was a waste of 2 hours.

We've got several campaign groups running over at Highlander Games & Comics in Boonton and are hoping to get a skirmish scene up and running, although it's likely to be after the expansions and tournament rules come out (and once we've all finished our current campaigns).

There you go Tint. I at least thats a start. I do think the skirmish scene will pickup big when League play starts and maybe even after Regionals and Nationals. I think its going to take a while for players to catch on to the skirmish part maybe I am wrong.

Question does Highlander have a copy of its own to run demos? Seems like the game has a good following either way but thats a big reason why both stores I go to have following.

Not sure if they have a store copy - but there are at least 6 regulars who have the game. I'll check with the store owner next time I'm in and report back.

I dont live near by was just wondering. I live in IL but friends with the OP of this post.

Awesome! I live about 30 minutes away (straight down the 287 for me), so I can make this work. I'm now following them on Facebook.

Please keep me updated, if you remember to. I'll definitely be interested to jump in, once things get rolling!
