An attempt at a somewhat fun XXYY build

Tarn has decent survivability with R7 and Hobbie has utility with R3-A2. The Y-wings can bully some big mean mother hubbard off the board. Or if not given a tittle, can help with more nimble opponents. The Astromechs are there to keep them in a fight without needing to worry too much over stress.

The real question is how to best fly them.

How to fly them woud differ per opponent I guess. With a large base ship you'd want the Y's together so they have a good chance of ioning the big stuff while you could also pair a Y-Wing with an X-Wing and try to pincer which would be my preffered way to set up if a Phantom makes its appearance.

There's no one way that would be correct.

Run the X's forward a litter faster than the Y's initially to keep fire off the single agility ships.

If they have turrets (not title) Y's can come up a side, then turn into the center. This often gets you several targets and you end up behind (out of arc) jousting type opponents.
