The main problem I see w/ the Plano Tackle box, is that they are not really meant to hold these larger ships in the main cargo space. And if you are a re-painter, then those are not really good options. Though I will say this for Plano cases, they hold Micheal's Bead Landing .containers perfectly
I spent an hour or so going through my local Home Depot, and I found an option that I think works pretty well. I still need to find a better way to subdivide the lower box, but I think it's pretty solid overall.

The top part holds fighters, smaller capital ships, measuring tools, tokens, etc., while the bottom part is deep enough to hold capital ships. It needs partitioning in the lower half to work properly, but the plastic that the ships come in should work well enough for the most part. It has a solid handle, the top part has legs so that when it's open it doesn't tip over, and it's only about $30.
I'd upload pictures of how I store things in it, but I've not much experience with the forums to do that properly yet.
I got the KR cases for my X Wing stuff (and likewise cannot recommend it highly enough, incredible customer service as well) and will be doing the same for my Armada. I'm currently just storing them all in the core set box, because I don't want to splash out on cases and foam until my collection is more settled with wave 2.

Coreset only, as if!
There are already hangars for all of wave 1, and I fully intend to do hangars for wave 2, as well...
