X-Wing Storage, Evolved and Scalable (Picture-heavy)

By aadh, in X-Wing

Finally satisfied with my storage solution. It should have the flexibility and uniformity to survive at least a few more expansions.

The P.A.C.K. 720 contains the fleet.

The green P.A.C.K 216 contains the table tray and dials:

Range templates are from Applied Perspective. Two each range-3, range-2, and range-1, and a single range-5, all hand-painted. Beneath are the cardboard range rulers.

Custom tuckboxes for the straight maneuver templates, two sets. Custom damage deck holders from scavenged Ultra Pro deckboxes.

Dials need to be sorted and labeled, but I was excited to finally have something I was comfortable with.

The black P.A.C.K. 216 will be used for the Epic tray once Scum arrives. I'll be getting a second black 216 for my two Raiders.

"Mistakes were made..."

Awesome collection!

At first glance, I was going to ask how much it all cost, but then I saw how many ships you have and I realized that it probably didn't matter... :)

Nice work.

Yeah. If you want to go all Stanley containers like xBino, the cost would be pretty reasonable.

Only one CR-90? Slacker :)

...you have 18 TIE Fighters...

...AND 18 Interceptors...

Make no mistake, I'm almost 100 points of everything (some more, some less) and, yes, Epic, but... ****, dude!

"Impressive, Most Impressive"

Wow, you've got a crazy amount of ships!

Thank you that puts my collection into perspective.

I can respect anyone with six defenders.

I need to gets a better storage setup my old 40k case did okay for awhile but with scum coming I need better.

Sooo your the reason for the shortage...

Nice set up!

That's an interesting idea for the epics. How much vertical foam are you using there? 4"? I figure the CR-90 requires a minimum of 3", and the GR-75s require 2" each.

So many ships! makes me feel better about the money I've put into my collection

I know. I'm not sure how likely it is that I'll get a second. Definitely two Raiders, though.

And I play solo exclusively, not much for competitive play. It's more of a collector/cinematic thing for me.

I could admit to being the shortage for the American mini sleeves by FFG, if nothing else. I bought 15 packs a couple of weeks ago. My bad.

It's actually just 3". The CR-90 fits perfectly with the engine section being almost exactly 3". No issues there at all. The GR-75 are pretty tight with a 1/4" strip of foam between them, maybe a millimeter or two above the edge, but that's mitigated by the 1/4" topper. You can probably tell I meant to have a GR-75 on each side, but this works out okay for now.

The GR-75 may be 2 inches tall (not sure), but it's not a flat brick, either. If they're facing opposite ways and supported carefully, they fit together just fine.
