Will there be AoR & EotE @ Star Wars Celebration?

By bkirchhoff, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

And if the answer is "No", then let's do something about that!

Star Wars Celebration Europe 2 was where i bought my copy of Edge of the Empire Beginner game and GM Screen, so hopefully you guys in the US will get some Star Wars RP action too. Unfortunatley there was no actual play events if thats what your asking. There may well have been, it was such a huge event though that we could have easily missed it.

I will be at celebration, and I will be more than happy to run some impromptu games if people are interested. At GenCon I was able to set up these sorts of games via twitter rather easily, so if you have any interest, follow me on twitter and keep your eyes peeled for announcements closer to the con.

Keith that would be EPIC... Count me in! You're "Stormtroopers Take the Tantive IV" Round was my highlight of GenCon 2014!

Any word on if FFG will have a booth as an official Licensee?

They had a booth at Celebration VI, its where i got my EotE Beta.

And Keith, if there isn't something official, we should coordinate something as a pick up. :)

Yeah, as far as I know, I'm not being asked to run any games by FFG officially (though I am more than willing!) But thanks for the vote of confidence on the convention module I wrote up from the Imperial point of view! I'm planning to pen a sequel that covers the events of Empire Strikes Back from the same sort of POV for GenCon next year!

As for if FFG has an official booth or not, I don't know for sure. However, I do know they were at the last Celebration, and I do know that at Celebration, pretty much EVERY Star Wars license holder has a presence, especially major content producers. I'd be pretty shocked if there was no official presence at all.

Download the official App for celebration here, and as soon as the exhibitor list goes live, you'll know for sure.

However, Phil, if you want to discuss setting up some unofficial pick-up games, I'm completely down to do so. I'd suggest we have this conversation in Dallas in a few weeks, when Sterling Hershey will be within earshot. He is a regular Celebration attendee. I'd also be open to the 501st raffling off tickets, say, at the 501st party, to play in that Imperial-themed game at the Con or via skype/roll20 at a later date.

Keith, is there any way your previous Gencon mod could be made available for people who can't make the trip to the U.S.?

As GM its always useful to see how others do things, especially published authors.

Mm. I actually run that mostly from my head. I think the first two times I ran it, I had like a single page of hand-written notes for the order of encounters. I'm also not quite sure how "cool" FFG would be with me giving away free Star Wars modules with my name on them. Maybe someone at Celebration of Gamer Nation Con can just sit down and play in the game, take some notes, and write something up. I certainly can't stop them from doing that.

Ah well, had to ask :) No prob, thanks for the reply.

Every Major License except Bioware it seems.

And yes. YES, Mr. Kappel, a conversation will be had.

Perhaps on that Saturday.

Yes. Saturday.

Where would you guys play? Isnt Celebration being held at Hollywood Studies Disney?

Its at the Anaheim Convention Center. We'd find somewhere. Maybe....maybe we can do it in whatever Star Wars themed bar they have there. That might be a pretty awesome atmosphere for a game. Last time there was like, the Hoth Ice Bar or whatever. Otherwise, if all else fails, we pick a nearby hotel with skywalk access and take over a table and some chairs in their public area. Not at all concerned about finding space.
