Post Your Appreciation... Post Your LOVE!!! (:)

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

THANK YOU FFG FOR MAKING WONDERFUL STAR WARS TOYS!

^_^

I LOVE STAR WARS!!! I LOVE X-WING ( & EPIC) ... and I will prolly love ARMADA too!

FFG did not make Star Wars toy sir. They made/make finely detailed scale models. They are not toys

I totally agree with you...They are FINELY DETAILED MODELS!!!!

Sorry in advance for ranting...

I've yet to be disappointed by an FFG product. And given all the establised IP they represent that's a pretty big brag.

I love how cheap it is to get into the game, and how few purchases you need to make to have a pretty good squad.

I love how few truly bad units there are in the game.

I love how they have dealt with power creep by allowing older units to use new upgrades. That must be a huge headache to keep in check.

Most of all, I just really enjoy the game.

Thank you FFG for giving me something fun to mentally labor over instead of reality, and for giving me something to reignite my love of Star Wars!

Having just come back from using Ion Defenders with Soontir...thank you for Ion Defenders

I am finally able to see the good in a new faction, and I'm glad Scum and Villainy will be here soon. I am grateful to the people who purchased the acrylic tokens I won so that I could buy more ships. I am grateful to Dice Dojo in Chicago for awarding me the sportsmanship award at Regionals last year: the Tantive IV expansion pack. And I am so, so excited and happy and thankful for the impending Imperial Raider!

But most of all, thanks to Jay Little for such an intuitive starfighter combat game, and Frank Brooks and Alex Davy for keeping this game awesome!

Thank you for shutting up and taking my money FFG!

(so many pre-orders)

Thank you FFG for keeping my hobby money low and at times my wallet light due to all the cool ships you offer.

Thanks FFG for giving us a quick, simple, strategically brilliant game with miniatures to match.

I've painted miniatures for over 20 years but life seems to get in the way now. Hobby time is scarce so why paint when I can play instead.

Yes, I've "personalised" ships but every one has been built upon the existing paint job.

And I will admit I sometimes call them toys, same as I call my motorbike a "toy" though.

Thanks FFG for taking me back to my childhood, where there was only "Star Wars" and nothing else mattered.

Whoop!!!

Well, my feelings have mostly already been summarised by others but to add my own positivity:

Thanks FFG for making a game that is so easy to get into, so fun to play, as expensive as you want it to be.

Thanks for reigniting my childhood passion for that galaxy far far away.

Thanks for giving me an alternative tabletop game that I actually have the time and energy to be able to play now that I'm a married guy in my thirties with responsibilities and a full time career.

Thanks for supporting and encouraging the community so much via your involvement in tournaments, your response to feedback and your constant small improvements to the game.

Thanks for the constant excitement of previews about new releases that is so much better than the cloak and dagger BS employed by certain other tabletop gaming companies who shall remain nameless.

Basically, thanks for giving me a tabletop game that is finally perfectly suited to me, my life and my needs.

I honestly don't recall any game EVER where I have been this positively enthused and obsessed not just with the aesthetic level (although don't get me wrong, the models are GORGEOUS) but also at a gameplay and tactical level. I listen to podcasts, watch matches on YouTube, discuss with my friends, play every time I get the chance. It's a wonderful, wonderful thing that they have given to us.

Also, thanks to my good friend Pete for getting me into the game in the first place. :)

Coolness posted above. It is great innit Star Brothers?

Yup!

:D

Thanks for letting me play with little toy space ships in a way that my wife can accept! Pew pew!!!

Things I love -

-Star Wars Dog-Fighting

-Simple to Learn / Impossible to Master, Elegant Rules System

-Making every ship have a different feel, And making their feel in the game match their feel in the fiction.

-Its a relatively cheap - yes, it actually is.

I have to say that this is my favorite game.

-I am actually glad we don't have the next wave yet. We haven't really had the last wave that long.

-This is a great forum where I can go and talk about my obsession when I can't play (Am I at work right now ;| )

-We have a great community. I usually really enjoy the people I meet at tournaments and OP.

-I am so excited about the coming Armada

-I feel confident that FFG will make it a great game.

-I Love how hard FFG has worked to keep the game balanced and to avoid

Yes, but it didn't need to be its own faction.

I can't believe they actually made a Scum & Villainy affiliation. If not for that, I doubt I would be back into this game. The idea of a Mist Hunter has me giddy with anticipation! And I can't wait to fly dual Aggressors! It took this game from, "Yeah, it's probably the best tabletop Star Wars game, but it doesn't catch me," to "SIGN ME UP! I WANT TO FLY THESE SHIPS SOOOO BAD!"

Yeah same here. The S&V are literally a third of the STAR WARS Universe, and it is as relevant and cool as anything FFG has made thus far.

Bring The SCUM!

:D

"Game? GAME?! World of Warcraft is not a game. It's a MASSIVELY multiplayer online roleplaying.... OK, technically it's a game."

Thanks FFG for making a game that is getting my girlfriend into miniatures and gaming as a whole. We played our first game one ship vs one ship a couple weeks ago, now 5 or 6 games later she is determined to bring my decimator down. Couldn't be more proud of her rebellious nature, but have no choice but to shoot her down in the name of the empire!

I was out of miniatures games for about ten years... this game pulled me happily back in.

Girls like it too... that is The Force at work!
