How does this work if no defense dice cancel the attacks is it only tokens then can use?
ten numb and autoblaster
That's the way it used to be. The FAQ changed that: Evade tokens no longer cancel those results.
To be more specific, Evade tokens now add an (evade) result to your dice pool, rather than outright cancelling a damage die. Since both Ten Numb and Autoblaster state you can't use dice, it means even evade tokens no longer do anything to stop them.
Which is to say, if you roll at most 1 Crit, your opponent is taking all the damage Ten inflicts with no. It's actually worse for him to get 'lucky' and roll 2 or more Crits with Autoblaster since your opponent has the chance to dodge some. The tricky part becomes reliably getting him into Range 1.
So then it's like the attack is never dodged? Or evaded ?
Only if you don't roll more than one Crit.
Autoblaster says (hit) results cannot be cancelled by dice, and that you may cancel (crits) first. Ten Numb says one (crit) result cannot be cancelled by dice. So you can roll any combination of:
(crit/hit/blank) (hit/blank) (hit/blank)
And there's nothing your opponent can do to avoid taking the damage. If instead you roll:
(crit) (crit) (hit/blank) or (crit) (crit) (crit)
Only one of the (crit) results in either scenario is un-dodgeable. In the (crit) (crit) (hit/blank) scenario, your opponent rolls their defense dice and, no matter how many (evade) results they get, they can only cancel a single (crit), because the other (crit) and the potential (hit) are protected by Ten Numb's text and Autoblaster respectively.
In the (crit) (crit) (crit) scenario, your opponent can cancel up to 2 (crit)s through dice and evade tokens, since in that case only one of the (crit) results is protected by Ten Numb.
Pretty much. The only way to "evade" the attack is to keep him from being able to make it in the first place (though if he rolls more than 1 crit, you could evade some of the damage).
So a hit hit crt could not be blocked right?
So a hit hit crt could not be blocked right?
From Ten Nunb + Autoblaster? Yes, there is no mitigating that damage.
Any combination of [booms] and up to a single [KABLAM] will get through, thanks to the two abilities.
