Your locations?

By DanteRotterdam, in Zombie Apocalypse

In order to start a more positive trend lets make a few topics to look at your games and what happened!

Where did your first session start and what was the first location your players took off to?

Did they go straight for the weapons or did they retreat to a 'safe' location?

My group started at my apartment in a midsized city-center. I have some tools and the like, but no real weapons at my apartment. So, after trying and failing to get seen at the ER for very minor trauma, they went to my father's house in the suburbs to raid his arsenal. The next session was pretty much all me trying to take their guns away from them while they made for the mountains.

We started at a friends house for tues night magic, then heard some gun shots and got attacked by zombies. The group then separated, kinda, to get to our families houses. But everyone's families live within 2-4 blocks of each other. 1 pair had to fight two possessed with their bare hands, two brothers went home to find their mom murdered and dad bleeding out from a bite wound when fighting off a possessed, and their siblings were kidnapped by the attackers. They duct taped their dad's arms and legs and brought him with them. And the other guy went to his house to find his dad's guns, the house was black, and he could hear the dog barking. He barely opens the door and the dog sticks its face in the opening and continues to snarl. He shot it, then heard his brother scream, turns out the dog was innocent. The brother was in shock from watching his parents become possessed and killing the neighbors. So he leaves a gun with his brother and leaves his brother behind(what!?) and rejoins the group.

We all joined up at my mom's house for a bit of respite. and ended there.

I've taken on the role of game master, and my players are co-workers of mine. We regularly play board games over lunch, so we opened our ZA game at work playing board games during lunch. That's when my take on the meteor apocalypse begins, and chaos ensues from there. Currently, they are still trying to escape from our office building. Where they go from there is still up in the air.

We are located in Olathe, Kansas. The south-west outskirts of Kansas City.

I have done 2 quick one off's (day of the comet and no room in hell). Day of the comet was fun due to the fact we play out in the country at my fiends house which pretty much has horses running around in the back yard so yeah.. zombies horses. 2nd one same place but he has a decent size grave yard that is within viewing range so yeah... muahaha.

Both my games will be starting next week.

One is online using Fantasy Grounds. I have someone from the UK, someone from the States, someone from Poland and someone from Sweden. I'll be setting it at UK Games Expo in Birmingham which should be a reasonable excuse to have everyone in one place. I'll be "overrunning the evening session" when things start to go wrong...

The other session I'll also start at a Con. We all travel to get to our weekly gaming location, so at the first hint of things going pear shaped, everyone would rush of to their loved ones. However we all plan on going to IndieCon this year which is set in a holiday park in the south of the UK, well away from everyone's home. So I would imagine the goal of that adventure will be to travel half the length of the country!

Thunder Bay, Canada. Small city, but I feel like size is irrelevant with the Pandemic scenario. 2 hour session, only made it an hour before I died. High Vitality, -Sedentary. Effin' sprinters man.

being a play-yourself game, what happen when you die? :)

Gm takes you out back...whacks you in the head with a lead pipe. :D

Belgium. Small city. Unfortunatly near a chem plant that could take out half the town if it went critical.

Doel.... jeez... we are in Antwerp... this can be a very short scenario. :P

Well, you could use the small ghost town of Doel as a base from which to make forrays to the power plant.

I came across some awesome pics of the place this morning:
