So, I've posted oh so very many times about my Psycho Tycho, but I'm starting to look to move on from it. Not that I don't think it's competitive, but after you play the list so many times, the desire to switch things up starts becoming overwhelming.

With that said, I tried playing around with a Green w/ PTL and other stuff (LW, Outmaneuver), and it just wasn't the same. I felt so much more restricted having to do green maneuvers every turn. So I decided to go back to Tycho, but to drop the Daredevil. This freed up 6 points on him (and eventually another 5 due to dropping Prockets) and freed up his second EPT as well as his modification slot.

His biggest downfall though is being PS8. You're paying quite abit for PS, but it's really meaningless, so I slapped VI on him in the second EPT slot. Yes, I know. Oh so very original. But a 2 attack ship isn't enough to guarantee I can kill off a Phantom (especially since it should just take the evade action and at most I can do 1 damage depending on dice rolls), so I decided I needed someone else at PS10 as well.

Enter Luke. I was looking at other PS8 pilots that I could put VI on. I wanted to try someone besides Corran, so that left Luke, Wes, Ten and Horton. Oh, and I guess Airen, but then I'm back to the same issue as Tycho. Of these, I like Luke's ability the best. I've seen him work wonders with LW and R5-P9/R2-D2. Reroll your (one) blanks, turn your (one) eye into an evade... Yeah, not a bad system. But I obviously won't be able to put LW on him, but at least I can put a droid on.

Once I kitted these two guys out (PTL, VI, CR on Tycho, VI, R2D2, EU on Luke) I was left with 35 points. I could put several things in that group, but I really wanted to try out an EU warthog, which would take 27 points... So, I might as well make it Horton with VI, but that took 36 points, so R2D2 became R5P9. So, the list was created as follows:

Tycho Celchu w/ VI, PTL, CR, ATP

Luke Skywalker w/ VI, R5P9, EU

Horton Salm w/ R2D6, VI, ICT, BTL-A4, EU

Actually, the list originally didn't have the BTL title in it as it's not legal yet, but my opponent wanted to run a scum list, so I added the title. I was completely unsure how the heck it would do... People are always complaining about the X wing, and the Y wing doesn't get much love (and there are people completely skeptical as far as how well the title will do to change it) and Tycho no longer has his DD or Prockets, so he's not the threat he used to be...

But, I have to say I was very impressed with how the list flew. Tycho is obviously one of the most maneuverable pilots, even without DD, so I wasn't surprised by that. But the two engine upgrades on the X and the Y wing, moving at PS10 allowed me to arc dance and setup killer shots. Sure, the EU and R5P9 both require my action, but recently I've been tempted to actually downgrade from R2D2 to R5P9 for Corran as it is - I'd rather be able to do a 5 straight and put some distance between me and my opponent than a 3 straight, so I figured I'd give it a go on Luke. Sadly, Luke never got shot at to even need a shield regened, so we'll have to wait until another game.

I came away rather impressed with Horton's ability though. By the end of the game, I preferred taking R2 shots than R1 shots. The potential to reroll 5 dice (if need be) is very exciting. I might have to add that as an option on my list of maximizing the second shot.
