Tracking bullets?

By TalkingMuffin, in Dark Heresy

We all know that the combat in DH is like D&D insofar as when you're swinging a melee weapon, the one attack roll isn't the only time you're actually swinging. It's a flurry of blows, one massive blow; however you'd like. Now, what about shooting? Isn't it cool to imagine a volley of bullet sprayed in a Hail Mary kinda' way? Sure, you roll once for the one bullet (or the semi or auto fire modes), but I like the imagery.

But, how do you reconcile the John Woo-ness of it?

Here me would say "not at all".

The RoF are quiet specific here. S (single shot) consumes one shot, semi and full auto fire exactly the amount of bullets listed respectively. For sure, most do not "strike home", but a single shot is a single shot in this system.

Anyhow, I tweaked the rules myself a bit:

Instead of restricting the pc to the rather "controlled" semi and full auto volley (Full Actions), they can use the same as "wild fire".
Same thing, only half an action, but NO "benefit".
The +10 / +20 modifier is "consumed" by the fact that they only aim in the general direction while moving (which is what the other half action is used for most of the time). I was inspired for this by eastern action scenes were gangsters walk or run while unloading autopistole at there enemies. And in my opinon, this COUDL workd :)
