Shocking New Gear...

The deathworld 2876-zeta is one of winds strong enough to rip the flesh from a humans bones within seconds, not only that, but its climate provides plenty of static charge.

No one now really knows the reason as to why such a world exists, but Eldar records might tell of how once the planet was a lush paradise held by their kind. (Of course, finding out such a thing would be heretical in itself..)

Until that is the fledgling Emperor of mankind brought it low through trickery and deceit, and ultimately caused its destruction, rendering it to the world that it has become in this day and age.

The planet has recently been recolonised by members of the Adeptus Mechanicus who are researching its geology and the possible ways of harnising its potent energies for the everlasting war mankind wages against its myriad foes.

There are some members of the Cult Mechanicus who believe such research is heretical, others however speak of all but forgotton technologies similar and thus able to be reverse engineered and reconsecrated with the knowlede gained from the planet.

In the last few years there have been a number of items made available on the black-market, showing that there may well be some heretek connections after all.

Not only that, but some members of the colony have found a strange Xenorelic, quite possibly made by the Eldar, and have begun to worship the relic as a gateway to a place of vast knowledge..

Dissipation Cloak

The cloak is made of a gossamer fine lattice of fabric woven from the dust of 2876-zeta. As such it is quite heavy, and almost always comes in a light matt grey, almost bone white, shade.

The unique quality of the sand from the planet means it is able to ground almost any electrical charge passed through it.

This allows for a re-roll to any failed toughness checks made to resist Shocking quality weapons.

The cloak also provides a +2AP against any Las weapon hits.

Lightning Lance

Originally this item was meant to be similar in principle to the Shock Stave (Inquisitors Handbook), however the data-djinn responsible for the assembly line over charged the powerpacks for the lance, and changed its quality dramatically, however this unforseen change in the weapons qualities has been heralded as very possibly an act of Abominal Intelligence, and the plant was closed down, all of its workers were mind scrubbed and turned in to servitors.

Thankfully some of the weapons managed to pass the rigourous checks and were eventually deemed safe to use by high ranking Skitarii and members of the Cult Mechanicus.

The lance functions as a Combi-Weapon combining Shockmaul, Spear & an Overcharged Lasgun.

When used as a Spear the weapon gains the Shocking trait (Due to the Combi effect of the Shockmaul)

Righteous Fury Overload

If a Righteous Fury is rolled the player by passes the usual Toughness check to resist the Shocking quality and deals an additional d10+2 E damage. This Also applies when the weapon is being used as a Lasgun.

Notes: Each day the Lances spirit must be appeased. The player must spend at least 5 minutes in prayer to the Lightening Lances spirit, and must pass a Simple Tech Use check. Failure means that the lance will deal equal damage to the wielder & its target for the first attack it is used. Each day the prayers are not said will require additional prayers (Tech Use checks equal to however many days have passed since the Lance was last used)
