What would you fly with the following list core?

Corran horn + FCS (37)

Garven Dreis + r5-p9 (29)

This leaves 34 points

Just enough for a blue and a bandit

Could give corran swarm tactics and add a moldy crow kyle with ion turret + recon spec, allowing corran to fire with focus target lock and evade...

Or.... Your ideas?

Why R5-P9? Garven wants to use that Focus during the combat round in order to pass it on to a potentially lower PS pilot. So according to plan, you shouldn't have a Focus left at the end of combat for R5-P9.

I would consider using Veteran Instincs on Corran. It's very important to shoot before Phantoms. And you might add a astromech to Corran. A defensive option would be R2-D2 or even R5-P9 if you want to give Corran the Focus for defense.

True. But this happens only every other round at best. And sometimes Corran can use his second shot and doesn't want to. In those cases either Garven doesn't pass his Focus on or doesn't use the astromech. I don't think that's the best use of Garvens ability.

Which is why the rest of the list is important, if there's another lower p.s. Pilot flying with Garven then his ability is useful in the non corran rounds. The idea is to tech off of r5-p9 when needed. I agree r2d2 could go on corran.
