Doubtful unless Armada is being produced in Europe and shipped to the East Coast. Everything in the US is being held up by the labor dispute in the West Coast ports.

I had a discussion with a SW LCG player about release dates and delays. Most companies when announcing a product give very vague estimated release dates. Often only mentioning a year or two then narrowing it down to the quarter once the product completes development and begins through shipping. It isn't until it reaches distribution that they announce a release date to wholesalers.

FFG does things a little differently by announcing expected release dates much sooner than other companies. Compounding those expectations is the information in tracking those products such as "on the boat" which often makes expectations sooner as most people don't understand the time tables between loading, shipping, docking, unloading, and distributing the product with each step taking from weeks to months. Those who don't understand may make the mistake of assuming unloading of the product once the ship gets to port taking only a day or two when in actuality it's possible to take over 2 weeks.

Often the results of the average consumer failing to understand fully the information that is given to them is the anticipated date becomes way sooner than the actual release date of the product.

Not that I disagree with your assessment, I would however drag out the old saying "Under-promise, then over deliver" and avoid the converse "over-promise then under-deliver" which TBH seems to be every single wave release in the last 18 months, specifically in relation to arrival not necessarily product quality etc.

I think a policy of no information rather than bad information would be best. the constant let downs in terms of projected release times leaves a lot of people understandably frustrated. I wonder if they have deliberately not revealed any info regarding wave 7 specifically because of the timing delays of pretty much every previous wave fore the last 18 months.

I would like to think that this time around we will actually get wave 6, have plenty of time to play with it and enjoy it without the distraction of new stuff to arrive in 6-12 months time.

As many have said on the forums in the last month or so the shine has already worn off the latest wave as many players have been neck deep in wave 6 on Vassal for the last few months already. as I dont have time for Vassal it would be good to be able to play some store events on an even playing field so to speak from wave 7 onwards.

I would like to think that this time around we will actually get wave 6, have plenty of time to play with it and enjoy it without the distraction of new stuff to arrive in 6-12 months time.

This. I was very very disappointed when wave 5 was previewed the same week as wave 4 was finally released. And then ditto waves 5 & 6. Because of the GenCon early release, most people didn't even have wave 5 before wave 6 speculation had peaked.

I have no problem with the inaccurate time scales - it's only a prediction, not a promise. Maybe they could put a note on the upcoming page (or make it more prominent if there already is one) to remind people of that

I agree it would be lovely to get the spoilers a lot nearer the release (and a lot later after the last lot of ships arrived). I haven't even got Autothrusters yet and already X-1 has stolen a bit of their shine!

all i know is i'm sick of waiting for stuff.
