Generally when you use Force powers to inflict pain, or injury on a person its typically seen as a Dark Side action and will cause you to gain conflict. When you outright kill people using force powers then it generates even more conflict.

That being said force choking a dude in self defense to knock him out without inflicting any other injuries and convincing the other people to give up with out fighting probably won't generate conflict especially if you took the time to try other avenues of avoiding combat. Personally I feel that any combat at all involving a Jedi is inevitably going to result in some conflict being gained. Move being used to create storm trooper bowling and killing people is in of itself not something a Jedi would do and is going to lead to the Inquistion showing up or Darth Vader and then well....
