I just picked up Star Wars:Puzzle wars (an inside joke we made after spending a half hour trying to build the puzzle map for our first skirmish). I managed to paint the AT-ST, Luke and Vader (though Vader still needs some shading work. I jazzed up the walker base with some trees and a couple of star wars minis.... same thing with the mouse droids on Vader's base.

I like that AT-ST base a lot, very clever use of the old Scout Troopers!

I was looking up pictures for my upcoming painting and Vader's chest piece does indeed have some metal/color on it besides the black. Gray seems to be the color up there, I'm going to go back and rewatch the original trilogy soon to see what the movies have.

The only "metal" is the belt buckle. Right now the codpiece has a metal look to it but that is because, as I said, I still have some shading and stuff to do on him. When its done, it will have the greyish black cold steel type of look to it that Vader's codpiece and shin plates have. The only thing that will be "bare metal" is the belt buckle when its done. You probably can't tell from the pics as there was low light conditions but he entire lightsaber blade was completely silver when I started and worked my way up to red with lots of watery coats. It gives it a translucent look, though you can't tell in this pic.

Did you drill out the vision ports on the AT-ST, or just paint them black?

I just primed the whole thing black and when I painted it I just didn't paint that part

Oh, you were talking about the buttons on his asthma box.... ya, I painted a couple buttons silver... I thought you meant the codpiece cuz right now its painted completely silver.... but won't stay like that... same goes with the collar plate stripes, they will get some shading still.

Double checked this. There's metal in episode 3 but in 4-6 it's black.
