Turrets are underpowered... kinda.
In late game is where the range 1 bonus for 360 really matters. When you have two z95s or ties and he has one falcon and even if you out fly him when you get in range 1 because with 2 dice so you have to get to range 1 to have any chance since at the other ranges you cannot really hurt him. He still gets 4 dice. This is where the main problem resides

Our store had been playing that way for a while now in friendly games. It really makes a difference in late game, which is when being a good pilot and positioning really comes into play.

No... there is just not much else to say about it. this topic was meant to give a few people a laugh, and to remind us all that the films are awesome. I think turrets are fine, and could be a little more powerful. I mean a stupid little TIE Phantom has four attacks. Seriously? The ship has five cannons on it. Meanwhile the Large Ships most people are screaming about have quad blasters cannons times two, for eight barrels. That should equate to a very very reasonable four attack dice then. Yes I understand that this is a simple way to justify things like attack values, but I do not care. KISS! More barrels should mean more Zap to Pew-pew!
Anyhow... I feel that the argument for keeping the plus one hit dice as a front arc only bonus idea has about as much merit as my upping the three red dice to four idea.
