Two-Weapon Fighting with Superior Weapons

By SirSprinkles, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

If I use the Two-Weapon Fighting rules with two Superior weapons, does that mean that, assuming my check generates no Threats, do I need:

1. I need 1 extra Advantage to make both hit because only my main weapon generates an Advantage

2. I can make both weapons hit as a given because they both generate an Advantage

Feedback would be appreciated

Once you assemble your dice pool, you have to have either 1 triumph or 2 Adv net in order to have your 2nd weapon fire. Whether or not you have superior on your gun(s) or not, you need to have 2 Adv net in order to fire your 2nd weapon. Then when you fire your 2nd weapon the 2nd Superior kicks in to give your 1 Adv it grants you. Make sure that when you calculate your dice pool it is for your Primary gun. Superior just makes it easier for this to happen. (Granted at 5K a pop) but that is beside the point.

Hope this helps

Number 1. The advantage of the second superior weapon only counts once the second hit is activated.

Keep in mind, Ryyk blades are already superior and cost less than 5K.

There's also a heavy blaster pistol in Suns of Fortune (H-7 Equalizer) that also has the Superior quality included, making it a pretty viable weapon for dual-wielding since it's got the damage of heavy blaster pistol with a better crit rating.
