Decimator Shuttle Support

By PurpleReign, in X-Wing Squad Lists

What is this Decimator and 2 Lamnda Shuttle list that keeps popping up on the forums? I'm intrigued, but can't find a solid post on the actual list.

Here is one that I came up with that I am going to play tomorrow in a casual game:

Omicron Group Pilot

~FCS

~Engine Upgrade

Omicron Group Piolot

~FCS

~Engine Upgrade

Patrol Leader

~Fleet Officer

~Recon Spec.

Total: 100 Points

Just don't let anything behind you.

Here's my take...

Captain Oicunn + Daredevil + Engine Upgrade + Dauntless

Captain Yorr

Omicron Group Pilot + Darth Vader

Here's what I have come up with regarding the Lamba/Decimator list:

Sheepherder Squadron

Ship 1

Lambda-Class Shuttle - Omicron Group Pilot - PS 2 - 21 pts - Hull 5 - Shield 5

Crew - Darth Vader - 3pts

Total Ship Cost - 24 pts

Ship 2

Lambda-Class Shuttle - Omicron Group Pilot - PS 2 - 21 pts - Hull 5 - Shield 5

Total Ship Cost - 21 pts

Ship 3

VT-49 Decimator - Rear Admiral Chiraneau - PS 8 - 46 pts - Hull 12 - Shield 4

Elite Pilot Talent - Predator - 3pts

Modification - Engine Upgrade - 4 pts

Title - Dauntless - 2 pts

Total Ship Cost - 55 pts

Total Squadron Cost - 100 pts

Total Squadron Hull - 22

Total Squadron Shields - 14

Total Squadron Attack Dice - 9

The recent change to the Dauntless title allows you to take a green maneuver into another ship, execute your free action, and still clear the stress because of the green maneuver. That would allow you to knock into a small base ship, boost behind or beside it, then blast it. Predator would allow you to boost a lot because between the re-rolls from that and the free focus to crit from Chiraneau's ability, you've essentially got a mini target-lock/focus combination built in.

The two shuttles would be there essentially to serve as giant B-wings, basically a big pain in the butt blocker/hitter, with the one just spamming Vader on whatever is hard to naturally hit and/or doesn't have shields. And like the B-wings, it would be a major pain to get rid of all of the hull and shields on the field.

What does everyone think?

This is true? If so, **** son.

That's not a change. That's the way that Dauntless has always worked. I believe it was only recently clarified in the FAQ.

So it looks like Dauntless would proc Expert Handling.

I don't see why it wouldn't, EH is an action. You'd still end up with a stress if you pulled a green maneuver afterwards since the maneuver only clears a single stress.

What needed to be clarified about Dauntless? You bump yet keep an action right?

It was the timing of when the maneuver cleared stress that people were getting wrong.
