I like Bob, I also think he is one of the most effective of the base game investigators.

Certainly the team need never want for physical weapons with Bob in the team.

Great stats too: fast, excellent will/fight, not crippled by poor luck. Only real negative there is focus of 1.

I don't usually defend investigators based on utility, but I find Bob to be Mr Reliable. Nor is he spoiled for me by having some game breaking special.
