Darn, Jenny got sacrificed before I got the chance. Today's game reinforced my reasons for not liking her. Okay, Cthugha woke up after 13 Mythos cards (has a 13 doom track), 0 bounces, 0 monster surges, but still. Both Jenny and Ashcan managed to get LiTaS in this game. The most telling fact? Sister Mary closed 1 gate and sealed 2, while Jenny, Pete and Monty combined for just 2 closed gates !

OT: Cthugha's final combat is quite nasty. Had no combat spells today, so after 2 attacks, everyone was down to *****-slapping him. Managed to get a total of 10 successes (needed 52...).

Probably would've hurt Marie Lambeau as well, if she hadn't fallen by the wayside a while back. With her PS, I'm starting to feel she is too powerful. With Marie in the game, each GOO requires a pretty certain +2 doomers to wake up. Of course, last time round she was a lean, mean, slicing machine, maxing out her Will and using Storm of Spirits + Revelation of Script + Enchanted Blade to fearsome effect. She and Joe D took care of the Terrible Experiment by themselves, despite 2x Dark Young and 1x Star Spawn among the mix.

Interesting. At this point in the standings, with 19 left to go, look at the breakdown of investigators.

10 of them are from Innsmouth, due no doubt to relative unfamiliarity. They each have their cool points, and I can see why people like them. Some in particular have devout supporters (or detractors), and others have flown under the radar. Specifically with regards to how ridiculous some seem to be.

4 investigators from the base game are hanging on for dear life, and they've been pretty hotly contested this whole time. These guys have devout followings.

4 remaining investigators are from Dunwich, and they have each had their own unique brand of support.

Only one investigator remains from Kingsport, and he gets my bet for the most supported investigator, at least at the moment. He's been under pretty constant fire from the start, and has had people healing him this whole time.

Highest average ability scores are actually Sneak and Lore, followed by Fight, Luck, Speed, and finally Will. Lore is high because we have many of the most skilled characters remaining. I guess we like Lore. Sneak is high because we've actually voted out most of the investigators with naturally low Sneak scores, so only two remain. Average focus is below 2, or infinity, depending on which way you want to look at it.

Overall, I pretty much approve of all of these characters, but I'm easy to please. Though I recommend we try this again in a couple of years, to take advantage of a new crop of players and to allow us time to get used to the new ones.

At present, the most votes (+ or -) goes to Dexter (53), followed only 3 votes behind by Luke and Wendy (tied at 50 for now, but Luke will obviously get more votes). Dexter has tied Wendy for most negative votes (30), and is guaranteed to surpass her (by at least 3).
