I think people are upset at some of the issues in the game as they love the game. For one, I'm tired of the number of lists I face that have a large, turreted ship in them. It gets a bit boring.

You see snark on line all the time. What I am talking about is how so much complaining and negativity is not generally good. It promotes a hateful vibe. I do not feel like dredging up any specific topics here to validate this hate thing.

However...lol... one of the better movie shows I watch had a fun example of it a few days ago. The main guy is a family man with a great career and he rarely if ever says anything heated much less with a lot of cursing.

Anyhow his team will be interviewing Mark Hamil next week. One jerk watching the show just just had to bring in the hateful snark, and it was the tipping point for the host.

You can see how unexpected Chris's reply was because the rest of the team are very surprised by his statement. This is NOT a noisy show 90% of the time.

This kind of demonstrates the bad effect that constant complaining and smarty commenting can have even on very laid back and very cool people.

There will always be people complaining about something on the internet, there's not much we can do about it. We even have some people complaining about people complaining. Sometimes their complaints are valid, sometimes they're not. When I see a thread about a ship being overpowered, or the game needing a fix, or being doomed degenerate, I just move away to another thread, I'm not forced to read it or respond to it.

So, to people complaining too much about the game, and to those tired of seeing threads about players complaint, here is my solution for you:

You know, it might be worth having someone level-headed and fairly unbiased like Juggler set up some "unofficial" forum rules on things like skyfalling and hyperbolic posting.

Too bad there won't be anyone actually enforcing those unofficial rules. Otherwise, I'd be all for it.

This is just flat wrong. People don't expend time, energy and thought on a recreational activity that they don't like. The fact that people are posting here shows that they are, overall, pretty pleased with the game. Nothing is perfect however, but people want the things that they love to be perfect, so there are regular complaints about stuff.

Meh. I stopped reading Magic.com and i still play magic.

I did notice that people complained about just about every ship (exept perhaps B-wings wich is understandable because they are awesome!!) and every faction. So i guess the balance in x-wing is very good.
