I'd like to know about fansites.

As a matter of fact I was wondering if it is allowed to gather the various PDF and so on that are on the FFG site and diffuse them on a fansite ? The goal there is to gather US and FR versions of these and build up a community.

The terms and conditions page ( www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_condiciones.asp ) seems to not allow it as the PDF's would be listed as contents of the site which you cannot distribute. Then again you could always email them and ask for permission. Worst case scenario is you have to link to the FFG support page (which is IMO the most likely one as that is what Dark Reign does).

You will have to be a bit more specific about what you want to know about fan sites. Do you want a list of them and what they are used for or do you just want to know the rules for creating fansites. If its the latter I would contact FFG on this one as they are the best people to tell you what you can and cannot do but also bear in mind that this is GW's IP so you should also go to their site where there is a very long list of do's and don'ts when it comes to using thier IP ( www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp ).

As for good fansites I would say Dark Reign is the largest out there and a great resource for playing DH games, if you want to add something check there first because there is a good chance someone has already made an attempt. Another one for fun is Ordo Malleus that has a good character generator IMO which is still incomplete but very useful for quick generating charactors. The guy who programmed it is currently working on an equiptment section and said he would add an Elite advance function when I asked for it but as its in his spare time it could take a while.
