Amazing find. Look at the size of that box!
I guess its out of the printers then....very interesting.
Edited by ExtropiaThis worries me a lot. These are the same people that did the Imperial Assault unboxing shortly after Essen, where gamers could purchase IA directly. Now we see them with a full Armada unboxing video, along with the new releases from X-Wing. The only game convention in Europe in February is the Nuremberg Int. Toy Fair. FFG could have a booth there, but this fair is much larger in scope than just board or tabletop games. If Armada is being printed in Germany for European distribution through Asmodee, than the new trend in FFG releases could be Europe getting new product long before the US does.
On the other hand if advance copies are being sent to reviewers then it might be closer then we think. I wonder if Team Covenant has one yet.....
This absolutely does not worry me a lot, being in Euroland. About time we started getting stuff first, mwahahaha!
Joking aside, obviously there wont be a big gap between release dates either way.
I think you are right about Nuremberg though., Here's a video of it being shown there:
All the text is in English. If it was hitting Europe first wouldn't the text be localized? I admit I don't understand how this works.
I genuinely have no idea. Mostly i'm excited by the fact they even had finished products there. That means it's loser than i suspected, by quite a bit!
Three thoughts:
I can't wait for a scanned copy of the rules.
It is interesting that it was only the core set without wave 1.
That guy needs to clean his fingernails if he is going to keep doing Unboxings.
It is times like these that I am thrilled that I speak German.
Mostly, this is just information that we already knew. There were two bits of interesting news: first of all, he says that the release date will be in March. Second, this video confirms that the CR90A will only have one blue anti-fighter die (which I suspected already).

Good info on both counts, thanks!
I expected 1 blue dice for the CR90A too....2 would be NUTS for the points cost, relative to other ships.
Wow, everything is so big.
Edit: and the detail on the ships is amazing.
Edited by ToburkWow, everything is so big.
That's what she said.
And yes everything is huge.
Yes....compare the size of everything (models, accessories, the amount of cards in the deck, # of dice....). You can see why it's so much pricier than the X-Wing core!

You know, after all of the really great exclusives they got in the lead up to Imperial Assault, I was beginning to wonder the same lately. I think the TC guys do great work, I'd love to see some Armada spoilers sent their way.
Ill translate some stuff that might be interresting.:
- its filmed at heidenberger spieleverlag office, the german distributor of ffg
- its the only armada box currently in ger
- box brought there for con in nürnberg (which is over since yesterday)
- release in march (official from the ffg guy on the left). german and english release nearly parallel
didnt see the full thing yet, ill post some more if there are more interesting things later on
Edited by madtulipso do the stands come pre assembled like in the video or was that just for ease of unboxing video.
I hope there not,as I want to black them out

I suspect it was for the unboxing. i noticed the tokens etc were in plastic bags too rather than on the card sheets.

If it had come from (or was about to go to) the con for display then It wouldnt surprise me that everything was already assembled/punched out already.
Interesting to note, when they assembed the frigate and Victory onto the stands - it looks like the shield dials are effectively a slightly smaller X-wing dial bottom, with the same size plastic "button" that you push through.
Also the fighters stands look a lot like a modified upsidown X-Wing fighter stand.
Hah!
Microscop! Awesome "accidental" find!
MUST pause every frame to analyse every awesome detail! O.O

Thanks for the translation Madtulip!
This is very welcome news indeed! Hang on lads! It's on it's way!
...wonder how many Bothans died over this one -and was Borsk Fey'la one of them this time?
Edit:
To add:
Holy-moly...I know they're just miniatures but they look very imposing -especially the VSD! Wondering if the Assault Frigate MkII will have the same effect. Man, I'm beside myself!
Edited by Alpha Xg1Also the range ruler, medium range does appear to be shorter than short or long range - with the dice being in the middle of each ruler section as per the FFG sample attack page.

ROFL!! Yah, won't let him anywhere near my sandwiches!
I really like how the Vic is on a different level than the other ships. Having different heights will add a dynamic sense to the game. It also grants the Vic a more imposing posture.

Assault firgate has similair volume but less surface, it will probably appear smaller (as it should beeing 200 meters shorter)
Those models look great and the size of the models is awesome. I'm going to love seeing the reactions people have when they finally see this in person.
I'm actually very surprised by the size of the models (pleasantly surprised). The smallest ship (CR90) is about 50% larger than an X-Wing (from X-Wing). I like it.
