Trying to put together my lists for the upcoming store and regionals.

I have a little query regarding Outrider title and my query is based on "How the card reads".

I personally have always viewed it as you cannot perform primary attacks under any circumstance but the card does not actually read that way.

The card states

"When you have a " " upgrade card equipped, you cannot perform primary weapon attacks and you may perform " " secondary weapon attacks against ships outside your firing arc.

Now here is the query.

At no point does it say you cannot perform Primary attacks inside your firing arc.

In order for that to be the case the card would need to read: blah blah blah You cannot perform Primary weapon attacks. You may perform " " secondary weapon attacks blah blah blah.

I know this is splitting hairs but that 1 punctuation mark makes that card read a completely different way.

Please rubbish my theory.

But as ware as the lack of a punctuation mark such as a full stop " . " the word "and" does suffice. I recall in my English class in high school the combination of a comma and "and" was equivalent to a full stop, and was used for run-on sentences as to not break up ideas; because semi-colons are frequently used incorrectly. Also that if the sentence was short enough the requirement of the comma before the "and" wasn't necessary.

Disclaimer on my part: I was brought up in a mining town in the West of Scotland and it had been 30 odd years since I went to school.

I want to agree with you, but this is a case of if x then y and z. Sadly the part about attacking ships outside your firing arc is modifying only the secondary weapon attack, not also quantifying which kind of attacks cannot be made with the primary weapon.

It's a non issue in my opinion as your primary attack of 2 is less than or equal to any cannon weapon you'd have mounted in the turret.

I think it's pretty clear. You cannot perform attacks with your primary weapon. You can use your secondary weapon, which may also be used out of arc.

It's clear it says this. It's clear it means this.
